The Wickham Classroom

(Named after the opening by His Grace the Bishop of Portsmouth 22nd July 2013 at Wickham CE Aided Primary School).

Fully enclosed and secure, this Gazebo Barn is constructed to a particularly high specification.

Including steel reinforced concrete flooring, twin sets of French doors and opening double glazed windows, this wheelchair friendly classroom is safe and enjoyable to use in all conditions.

On the edge of the playing field this is intended to further enhance outdoor learning, so valued by the school governors, staff and pupils. The provision of this structure facilitates engagement through first hand learning for all the children. Providing a bridgehead to Forest Learning, science experiments and a unique creative space.

Unique in design, each Lean-To shelter is manufactured within the constraints of our technical “rulebook”, guaranteeing durability, structural integrity and longevity of service for up to 15 years.

Bespoke in design, and signed off by our Consulting Engineers, each Lean-to uniquely enhances its location to bring about a ‘whole’ class experience undercover and protected from the elements, especially rain and UV. These Lean-To structures foster a free-flow movement of children from the inside to the outside to enable full engagement with curriculum and learning objectives.

Lean-to’s provide fantastic value in multiplying the space of your learning environment offering opportunities for extended group work, quiet zones, activity areas and art corners with young minds encouraged to flourish.

The largest size (as the projection from a building) for a Lean-to using a single timber rafter is 6.0m. Lean-To structures greater than 6.0 up to 8.0 can be constructed however these will require intermediate supporting posts. Any length of Lean-to can be constructed. Walkways
Providing undercover pathway protection from the rain and harmful UV rays of the sun. Roofing styles can either be pitched or curved polycarbonate depending on choice.

Designed and installed to empathise with the existing environment, each unique Walkway is specially designed within the constraints of our “rulebook”.
Bespoke in design, each Walkway enhances its location to enable that “Link” pathway to be undercover delivering protection from the elements, especially rain and UV. These Walkways encourage the use of areas removed from the main core building for full engagement with curriculum and learning objectives enhancing the look and function of your school environment.

The Marden shelter offers functionality and utility. This no-nonsense canopy system is available in sizes to suit your location and requirements. They can be linked to form a larger structure or walkway or used as bus shelter or bike shed.

The Peak – The Technical Information

Available in two sizes – to suit your requirement

The larger Peak is 2.7m high, 2.1m deep and 2.0m wide and designed to enable a ‘walk through’ to allow free passage without the sides or the seats being intrusive. The ‘Angled for Comfort’ seats on each side benefits from an angled timber backrest. The smaller Peak for smaller children is 2.0m high, 1.5m deep and 1.5m wide and also designed to enable a ‘walk through’ to allow free passage without the sides or the seats intruding.
